One of the first steps to creating change is to determine your results. You must be very clear, concise and concrete. [click 'Read More'] ----------------> My goal is to have at least 50% of all math teachers implementing student choice through blended learning at my school by the end of the 2019-2020 school year. This in turn will inspire the change into making professional development (PD) for teachers more flexible and blended. There are certain vital behaviors that will help the process as well as certain people. There are measurements for the process (see diagram below) as well. Having the opportunity to open a new high school in my area is also going to give me an advantage since we're all starting at the same point. I believe that the Digital Learning Coach, department leads, and early adopters of blended learning will be very influential in this change. Not only will change take time, but it also takes multiple sources of influence for results. To achieve these results, I will need to make the undesirable desirable, over invest in skill building, harness peer pressure, find strength in numbers, design rewards, and change the environment!
