![]() Reviewing others ePortfolios is helpful to look as to discover what I do and do not like. This helped me be able to see how they're used in so many ways from a digital resume to a collection of publications and an assortment of awards/certificates. â I am attracted to ePortfolios that have clean lines, enough white space, and a balance of pictures and words. I like ... ![]() â ...that Stacey Clark included video of herself on her website but found it to be very wordy and long. âAgain, this helps me realize I like when paragraphs are short or words are broken up with some visual.
Bridget Gallagher did a great job of doing this. She has clean lines, enough white space, it's visually appealing and yet there are a lot of words, but they're broken up into short paragraphs with the title clearly written. You can scroll through easily to find what you're looking for.
âAmy Atchinson's ePortfolio was appealing because of her color choice, nice lines and great layout. I really like that it's simple and you can 'read more' about what interests you or brought you to her page. ![]() âRebecca Recco not only shares about her schooling but also her personal side with the loss of her stepson. Loved how she included that to give inspiration to others as well to show her vulnerability and real life side.
The former DLL student ePortfolios were inspiring, but so were many of the other kinds. I really liked how Sean Robinson shared his story of how he had a short job interview and was offered the job. The administration didn't need a really long interview to find out who he was since he had shared his ePortfolio with them. Not only were they able to paint a picture of who he was but also his beliefs and practices as a teacher. â

My all time favorite was Erin Klein. Her website is simple, has a lot of information but is very well organized. Love that she includes all the social media tabs on the sides. This makes it easy to find her yet keeps the site simple. This website looks very professional to me. George Couros had some great things on his site. Not only did he share about himself, but he shared what others had said about him, which is very powerful.
I appreciated the opportunity to review and look through others websites/ePortfolios as to help me discover what I do and do not like. I can take the good and the bad as a whole from all of them and add in my creativity and create an amazing ePortfolio. This takes me back to another discussion; does this ePortfolio really belong to me or all the people that also inspired me?
